Please take note that we have two different types of machines;
1) 2.25 in (58mm) - Rotating Button Maker Machine
2) Multi-Mold (Interchangeable) Sliding Button Maker Machine
You will find videos for each on this page. However, we would like to mention three critical things before you watch the videos;
Three Critical Things to Know Before Getting Started
1) Mylar (Plastic Film) Usage: Mylar is a very thin material, so we recommend double-checking to be clear about using only one. Even if it seems like you have only one in your hand, sometimes you may realize that you use more than one! Please check it with your thumb by rotating it on the mylar surface while holding it. Most of the time, you will see more than one mylar on your hand. So far, most unsuccessful button-making attempts have been related to this issue.
We have added an introductory video to the bottom of the page to show you how mylar affects the machine mechanism and button-making process.
2) Not Pressing the Handle With Enough Force When Connecting The Front and The Back: Second most common failure reason is not pressing the handle with enough force when you are at the final step of button-making. Unlike the first step, where you press the metal cover, picture, and mylar (image on the left, 2nd step on the operating manual), while you press the back of the button, you need to be sure that the molds are stuck each other and fully closed as shown on the image on the right. You can see how the distance between the handle and the body differs between the two steps.

3) Putting The Wrong Face - The Back Side of The Pin: We see some of our customers placing the wrong face of the pin onto the machine, which causes an unsuccessful button-making attempt. We put the picture of the correct face below to show it clearly.
